Who We Are

     First and foremost we are offroad, overland and outdoor enthusiasts.  We try to spend as much time on the trail or in camp as possible.  We know that there are a limited number of shops in the Richmond, VA area and not all of them are as focused on the customer or as knowledgeable as we would like.

     Our goal is to help you build the rig of your dreams.  Whether that is a simple Jeep lift kit and tire package to get through some rough fire roads or a custom overland rig with all the latest gear for exploring and camping we're here to help you make that happen.  Your satisfaction is job number one and our work is not done until you are happy.

Our History

      With a background in mechanical engineering and over 30 years of offroad experience on 2 and 4 wheels, Trailtec 4x4 owner Herb Coulter knows what it takes to build a rig that will get you down the trail and through the rocks.

     Herb caught the Jeep bug at an early age and over the past decade has spent thousands of hours on the trail and in the shop building multiple Jeeps for himself as well as helping others build theirs.  He has volunteered as a trail guide for many years at events held at Oak Ridge Estates and spends as much time on the trails as possible.

     Founded in 2014 in Herb's garage Trailtec 4x4 has now grown into a full 4WD, Jeep & Truck customization shop located in Henrico, VA serving the offroad and Overland communities in the local RVA and surrounding areas.
